...sitting on this for a week now. I am surprised to not have it seen posted in between all the other Jaws spam and other complaints about stuff coming out of the Wolves book.

Am I the only one that have noticed, that apparently spacewolves are the only one that get proper "force weapons" that both nullifies psy powers within 24" on 4+ and wound daemons on 2+ ?

I must admit, I don't think to much of the psy powers they can get, since I prefer the regular marine powers. But the force weapon bit just annoyes me a whole lot. Kinda like how DA players must feel about stormshields, except this is kinda....grrrr...why the #"¤%& isn't that in the rulebook?.

I quite like them :) I'm just waiting for everyone to whine about how everyone doesn't have the same gear, like storm shields, and everything else imperial :P

As for the powers, I like some of them, but there's one or two daft ones which don't seem to be very useful, like Thunderclap. Murderous Hurricane is the best in my eyes though, especially combined with the 24" AoE difficult/ dangerous terrain power. Can give you a lot of control over things, and can evcen cause a few decent casualties against big enough squads, like Ork Mobs :D

You mean the Mortis Dreadnought no one uses, and the Terminators that cost almost twice as much as their Assault Termie counterparts in Codex SM?

Personally as an ex-DA myself, I would have cared a lot more if it was stuff that was worth using that got bit.

As a Grey Knight player, I'm rather annoyed that GW gave SW's a weapon that wounds Daemons on a 2+. Not because it makes SW better than GK's against daemons, actually, but because it concerns me that GW doesn't get that specific wargear isn't balanced. When it's just a single weapon, it's ok, but if GW does the same sort of thing with the entire GK army, then a new GK codex will be just as weak as the current one. You can't make a balanced army that is only good against one other army in the game.

I don't want a new GK codex that rocks against Daemons, but is horrible against everyone else. I want a new GK codex that is good against Daemons, AND good against everything else.

Anyways, the SW weapon psychic power nullifier is a little better than a psychic hood, since almost all psykers are ld 10. A normal psychic hood would have slightly less than a 50% chance to block a psychic power, compared to a straight 4+.

No, I meant the Mortis Dreadnought that is awesome (2 TLAC for 125 is solid gold) and the Termies that are cheaper than their loyalist and DA counterparts unless you're an idiot and give them all expensive gear.

Yes partly, but its slightly better at it then the psy hood and on top of it it wounds daemons on 2+ and counts as a power weapon, that can instant kill if you pass a psy test.
