each legion has got some patterns of armour attached to them, shown in the artwork throughout Betrayal. so it will be most likely these and the unique wargear options with those legions, (power scythes for death guard, gladiator chain weapons for world eaters) will most likely have number of pieces similar to the character upgrade kit FW already do; but with more armour parts.

no no, not for the legions, for the chapters. Minotaurs, Carcharodons etc. bottom of the phase three section

most likely means terminator, power armour shoulder pads and vehicle doors. maybe if your lucky, the chapter special characters.
with FW so busy with the heresy, i'd doubt they'll put the effort in to do other stuff.

Wait, Deimos Razorback?
Are they ret-conning the fluff on the Razorback only having been around since about M36?

Yeah the Razorback is what caught my eye in that list too. They shouldn't be in there, else otherwise what's to stop the 40k era Chaos forces having them in their Codex, as the other Heresy era vehicles have survived until the "present" era.

There's no such thing as a Mentor Legion. That chapter was formed in the 26th founding, way after the Horus Heresy.

The name of the Chapter is "The Mentor Legion".

Back in the old days, the Mentor Legion didn't fight normally, they attached squads to other Imperial battle groups as shock troops and leaders, and could take experimental weaponry. This is before GW solidified the Legion/Chapter concept, and the whole story of the Horus Heresy.

Deimos pattern Razorbacks aren't in the HH book. But that doesn't necessarily rule them out.
Me, I'm waiting for the Necron and Emperor's Children stuff!

don't forget that the deimos pattern doesn't just cease to exist at the end of the horus heresy, there will still have been deimos rhinos when the razorback went into production, just as real life armoured vehicles get up gunned and modified. Deimos razorbacks are not necessarily for heresy purists, but for space marine players who like that pattern of tank and want razorbacks that match the rest of their motorpool

It does ring a bell. I wonder if his helmet had enhanced optics. And a pie dispenser.
But also, check the stained glass in the background. Looks like a proto- SM flier, whatever they're called!

oh yes expect a thread on that very thing in about a week, i already have the storm talon for the cockpit and wing nacells, there is a stormraven off ebay (£40 wooo) in a warehouse belonging to royal mail (no post on sundays).
gonna make a storm eagle (mentor legion specific storm 'owl' ;)), with the bits from the two kits and a little plasticard.
oh and yeah all marines have manboobs, its what makes them 'special' (more so for the emperors children :))
