Typhus Destroyer Hive Query

Just reading through my chaos codex for the umpteenth time and i have a slight query. I have always assumed that Typhus' Destroyer Hive is resolved at I1 because that is when Typhus would normally strike. However my ever curious, inquisitive and grand mind has now started to ponder this. He is doing this instead of attacking and as such is not using a weapon that would make him I1, therefore could it not be said that it would be resolved at I5 (his initiative step)???

It was just a thought and i wondered what other people thought?

It would resolve at i5 since you are using it in lieu of making weapon attacks and if you are not using your weapon, you are not i1.

am i the only person who somehow managed to think it would be resolved at I1?

Possibly, though you are probably only used to him being I1 for gaming purposes after all when was the last time you needed to use his base I?

thats a good point Wolfie! i am so used to his I1 that i just automatically wait for that stage for him i guess!
