So here's a quick one. I tried searching this and couldn't find anything so if it's been asked before, my bad. Anyway, Karandras' entry says that he has stealth. The entry adds that it is conferred to Striking Scorpions also. However in the sixth edition rulebook it states that Stealth USR on one model gets conferred to all models in the unit. So my question is this, can Karandras give stealth to anyone, since he has the stealth rule or does this added note that it gets conferred to striking scorpions imply that ONLY striking scorpions get it. I wonder because I've seen a lot of Eldar/DE allied lists taking Baron for stealth on Wraithguard, but I don't see the point to this since karandras will one up this by giving stealth and infiltrating them...just wondering. help please?!?

Oh and just to note, I'm not saying stealth is the ONLY reason baron is taken but it is a big one (there's also cost and H&R).

As best as I can tell it would work like this:

Karandras would give the wraithguard Stealth, as his rules do not supersede the corebook, more clarify that he also gives Stealth to Striking Scorpions in his unit (which is covered in the newer rules set). However, the Exarch power descriptions on page 21 explicitly state that Exarch powers will only effect Aspect Warriors and Autarchs in the same squad, and it's an Exarch power gives Karandras Infiltrate, so you couldn't use him to infiltrate Wraithguard.

At least, that's how I see it.

Correct, the note on granting Stealth to Striking Scorpions was relevant in 4th and 5th edition when Stealth was on a model by model basis, now that a single model grants the entire unit Stealth, Karandras' bonus is conferred to any unit he joins.

cool, thanks for the clarification...I forgot the Exarch powers only apply the squads.
