View Full Version : Isn't it time Beethoven buggered off?

OK, you may think when you are cutting around with your droogs, looking for some kharasho in and out, or some ultra violence, that the ole' Ludvig Van is the height of musical prowess. It isn't. It is penis measuring drivel, it all sounds the same, and chronic deafness is no excuse for a failure to even sing at all in most of your 'dope' tunes, let alone droning along tunelessly.

He was clearly a sausage guzzling box head and Mozart should have done him in a brown bess drive by.

Certainly he was no Russian composer, but Beethoven certainly was more inspiring that monotonic mozart

J.S. Bach > All.

J.S. Bach > All.

Pah! I find him a bit Baroquen, actually I do enjoy Baroque. And the tocatta and fuege in D minor is something spectacular, even if the first part is overly used, I also realise that I have his complete works floating around my pc, but still he is no russian so cannot be the best.

Jupiter is amazing

But my favorite is Handels Messiah, Christmas just isn't the same for us in our house if its not playing Christmas morning, followed by Mr Hankey the Christmas poo.

Jupiter is amazing

My favourite from the Planets as well, apparently the first time it was performed the women cleaning the concert hall stopped cleaning and started dancing with their mops.
Mars is also great, but I think he might have lost his way after Saturn

I agree. I ensured that 'I vow to thee my country' (the tune of Jupiter) was sung at the ceremony where Mrs denzark became my number 1 bound concubine, along with Jerusalem.

I vow to thee my country is rugby vocalised in music :)

While I think they are lovely pieces I am not sure that they are quite wedding pieces, like "give me joy in my heart", "all things bright and beautiful", "lord of the dance" and "god save the queen"

What about some nice quality Wagner? Bit of ride of the Valkyries as the mrs to be walks down the aisle?

Well played Mr Denzark. Sarcastic comments will get you everywhere in the world.
Here you go, here's your trophy for being remarkably petty. :)

I dont know, I think it was more tongue in cheek, than sarcasm. Made me smile anyway :)

Music is a subject that I take very seriously. Expression of one's self can help us find out who we are as a person.
Music has helped me when no one else could, be that through inspiration, realism, realisation, or simply keeping me upbeat.

So I don't appreciate it when someone goes all sarcastic on me.

TDA, you need to apply some Cosmo factor. I mean that article when a bloke translated bloke thoughts for the benefit of the women. In particular, and I paraphrase:

'You know when a bloke says something that can be taken in 2 ways, and one makes you happy and one makes you sad? Well take it in the way that makes you happy.'

Same applies here. this is tongue in cheek not sarcastic, I'm sorry you feel that way. Particularly if you find Music soothes your savage beast.

You're not suffering from pant-hungry bum cleavage are you, that can make me somewhat tetchy as well...

He doesn't need to be Russian, he is already the best

The Russians are good, though. Tchaikovsky goes without saying but I prefer Mussorgsky. Particularly Night on Bald Mountain, but I've gone off it somewhat since mother said that before they were married she and daddy used 'Night on Bald Mountain' as a euphemism for sex.

I can see what that would be "off putting"!

Rimsky Korsakov. A name that sounds like a niche sexual practise, and also top russki tunes.

Someone put me onto Russian Dance Music. I kinda dig it.
