So....The Question Being if you had 600pts to take to a tournie what would you take?

I have a wide range of models - only things i dont have:
- Helldrake
- Mutilators/Obliterators
- Warp Talons
- Maulerfiend
- KB / NM / TS

I have a massive loadout of marines in different styles, weapons and god knows else what (aegis defence line)...

Am looking for ideas for lists as i keep bouncing around with these lists:

HQ: Dark Apostle = VoTLW
TP: 20 Cultists, 2 Heavy Stubbers, 18 Autoguns
FT: Aegis Defence Line with Quadgun
TP: 5 CSM with a Flamer...Champ with PW/MB/Combi-Bolter
HY: Forgefiend

HQ: Dark Apostle = VoTLW, Gift of Mutation
TP: 5 CSM = CCW, MoK, Flamer, Champ with PW
TP: 5 CSM = Plasma Gun
HY: Havocs = 4 x Heavy Bolters
HY: Forgefiend

All ideas welcome.

In smaller games, I find Havocs with autocannons tend to shine. I would usually run 5-man Chaos Marine squads in Rhinos, and the HQ choice is really up to you - a stock Sorcerer Lord would be worthwhile, just take Psychic Shriek.

An example;

HQ
Sorcerer Lord - 60

Troops
Chaos Marines (5) w/ meltagun, rhino - 120
Chaos Marines (5) w/ meltagun, rhino - 120

Heavy Support
Havocs (5) w/ four autocannons - 115
Havocs (5) w/ four autocannons - 115
Obliterator - 70

You will put out absurd amounts of dakka for this points level and your army will be able to deal with essentially any threat. This isn't the most super-competitive army list I would take to a 600 point tournament, but I feel it would do ok. The autocannons are useful even against footslogging armies for the sheer number of saves you will force on units. The Obliterator is kind of like your swiss army knife. Having a meltagun in each Chaos Marine squad is probably wiser than a Plasma Gun at this points level, cheaper and no overheat risk.
