Tiger is right, no other Chapter uses the winged sword.

The models may be intended to use as DA, but there is nothing to say that you can't paint them some other way. If the fact that they're sooooo DA based is such a bother to you, then you may just be out of luck. You can always make up some other angelic name or some bird of prey, as last time I checked, birds had wings too, they just don't have swords.

Um...IF you are doing pre-heresy nothing in that box set will work since they had only up to Mark 6 armour at the time........ Just go chaos other wise the box set is really useless.

When you say 'fluffy' do you mean the manufactured fluff GW hands out or do you mean you want a background for your army that doesn't bore people to death when you tell them? I don't think anyone's reused the winged sword (though several chapters have been reused in the past) but that doesn't mean you can not.

If you don't want to remove the symbols, then add to them to make them something different or cover them up.

I took 10 of the new Dark Angel Terminators from the Dark Vengance set and cut off the power fists, replacing them with Lightning Claws left over from building Thunderhammer Assault Terminators. All of the right arms are completely replaced by spare Lightning Claw right arms. Only minimal knife work is required on the rest of the torso to remove a couple of tiny Dark Angel logos. A quick snip with a pair of sidecuts removes the goofy-overdone wings from the sergaent. eBay supplied blank right shoulder pads for the whole crew - now awaiting the Carcharadons (shark) logo.

I now have a full unit of 10 Lightning Claw Terminators with armor bling as "Scoring Troops" with my Badab War Carcharadon's HQ Tyberos and a Spartan Assault Land Raider to deliver them as a unit!

i just gave up and ran out of choices... i just went with wings... im currently slowly converting the chosen to loyalist... and cutting out all the sprues
