Does anybody have an opinion on the modular movement trays GW has put out? I'm playing a pony heavy WoC army and am in dire need of movement trays.

You can make them as big or as small as you like. You need a really sharp knife and patience to score the parts and get through the rim pieces. They work, they just take work.

I think it'd be a good idea to use these trays. You'll be able to customise the shapes of the movement trays for the particular units.

Personally I make my own trays from sheet plastic and bass wood strips.

I have looked around and always end up looking GF9's tray, but I'm tirned off by the price, can you suggest other trays?

Clearly not only are you a librarian but also more handy than me, I have tried my hand at diy trays with little success. Is there a trick, beside measure twice cut once?

I place the models on the sheet plastic (styrene mostly but I have used plexiglass because I have a bunch in the garage) and mark around the bases. Glue the bass wood strips (I've even used styrene and balsa because I had it siting around) to the outside of the markings. after the glue dries paint and base.

I even used foamboard, styrene and basswood to make a base for my Goblin Hewer.

I've just put together a few for a Dwarf army I'm building. I like them a lot.

Cool, but I'll still build my own.
