So, thanks to my lovely wife who can take pictures of things other then my thumb, I have some pictures of my Alpha Legionnaires for show. None of these are 100% done, but everyone should be far enough along to get the gist of what's going on.

I chucked the default blue that the Alphas are shown to use because I wasn't overly fond of the color and I couldn't exactly work out how to reproduce it, instead opting for Testors' Ultraviolet Pearl as the main color. My take on things is Alpha Legion should generally look parade-ground fresh, both because they care and because it's a good way to freak out your opponent, showing up all spit n' polish after a month of fighting, so there won't be much weathering for these guys.

Warp Talon Champion, with custom winglets. On the Warp Talons, and the Chaos Lord in the next pic I used gold primer instead of silver, and intentionally feathered the spray a bit, letting some of the gold show through instead of going for 100% coverage. The blue in the joints is going to be repeated for eye lenses and the eye on the chest- I want it to lookas though the Warp is leaking out from inside the beastie.

The Chaos Lord himself! This one needs a fair amount of work still, I have something special in mind for the wings, hopefully to be completed this weekend.

And the Forgefiend- after reading about how the Daemon Engines work, I decided "leaking lava everywhere" would be the way to go.

Look pretty cool, but its hard to make the detail out due to the flash on metallic paint =/

If anyone knows a good way to reduce the flash for the next set of pics, I'd be greatly appreciative. Worst bit is, the Warp Talon and the Chaos Lord already have a coat of Dullcote in those pics.

The easiest way is to get a bunch of lights and put filters over them (cloth, wax paper) so that there is no direct light. When you take the picture turn the flash off so that only the filtered light from the lamps is producing any light. If you can do this with a light box it would be even better, but really as long as the light isnt direct, and there is no flash, it should look good.
