No afraid not, isn't strictly a spawn. Base size is too big. It's for Warhammer fantasy. Storms of Magic expansion. Could use it as a counts as Maulerfiend though.

I think a giant spawn is in one of the IA books for use in normal 40k

Couldn't be used as a standard spawn though, which I think is what the OP was asking.

To be fair theres nothing really stopping him.

Its jsut him at a disadvatnage as its harder to hide for cover saves, and more guys can get in bases contact and get more attacks against you

Ya i wouldn't see a problem with it...Besides spawn die like no tomorrow anyhow regardless of size!

Until its used at the end of the game to contest an object, it's size would be an advantage then, especially if it was a result of a boon table roll. Then that size base could win or draw a game.

I personally wouldn't mind, but you just know there are those rule junkies out there that will argue the toss as soon as it becomes a disadvantage to them.

Lets be honest losing to a spawn would be epic.

To be fair spawn are pretty good in this game.

T and S 5, 3 wounds, D6 attacks with special things.

Mark them up (T6 with Nurgle, D6+2 attacks with Khorne) and in a unit of 3-5 they can be pretty scary

If that's the only spawn you have on hand though placing him after a boon roll is going to be a pain in cc...

I love that for a Chaos army you basically need a Spawn and a deamon prince now, even if they're not in the list...

The IA giant spawn is cool, and I've played one a few times..... check with your opponent before releasing anything Forge World, lest you suffer the cry of "But that's not 40k!"

I was checking to see if using the Giant Spawn with its Giant Spawn rules would translate to Warhammer 40k. I think I read that it could. Sweet!
Yeah, definitely too big for use as regular spawn. Just wanted the Giant Spawn to lead the 10 other Normal Spawn I have.

Oh and, does this symbol Sv " - " Mean they really don't have a saving D6 throw?

Thanks guys

Yep, no save.

So you rely on their Toughness to stay alive

And of course you can always get a save in combat on the mutation chart
