Do the grey hunters carry both a bolter and bolt pistol or do i just pick what they carry?

they are both listed in the roster list as basic, with only replacers in the upgrades.

so i would assume both, but you can only use one per turn, and any weapons in which you have multiples of that type (shooting) you must declaer which one you are using that turn.
i imagine the marines would mag lock or sling one gun when using the other.

it makes sense but how does that work for close combat and number of attacks. i shoot with the bolter i get one attack, if i shot with the bolt pistol would i get the extra attack for two close combat weapons? guess i'm just confuzed with the way its set up.

They get +1A for having two Melee weapons (the CCW and bolt pistol) all the time, regardless of what they shot in the prior Shooting phase. In their Shooting phase, they can fire either of their two guns (boltgun or bolt pistol), but of course if they fire boltguns they can't charge in the ensuing Assault phase.

But how would you use a ranged weapon with those clumsy power fist fingers? ;)

It is odd, though.

Well, it's simple really. The powerfist obviously needs additional servos, not just the field it projects. Those additional servos give you all you need to throw that bolt pistol very far with a enough force to hurt someone.

That's my theory and I'm not sticking to it.

but not all powerfists are created using dark mechanicum tech. girlyman stole the gauntlets from a champion of chaos (khorne i do believe)

amazing art though.

I do love a setting where bolting two things together is considered high-tech ;)

I just found the art on deviantart :) It was on the first page of pictures on google if you search Roboute Guilliman, and way nicer than the paintjob on any of the minis.
