I'm thinking about using some Tac marine legs for my assualt marines that won't be using jump packs. it'll keep cost down for a ten man unit. Dollar wise that is. what do you think or am I just being cheap?

Nothing wrong with that... probably depends a bit if you want dynamic (or running) poses or not.

You could always bend the legs to make them more dynamic

Personally, I mix n' match Assault Marines and Tactical Marines.

I buy a box of both (okay, 1 box assault, 1 tactical, 1 devastator), and then mix it all up.
Oh yeah, and the captain box for the extra goodies.

Same here. I have 20 Assault Marines for Blood Angels, and most of them are on Tactical Marine legs -- hard to get a good solid chainsword swing in without sturdy footing, y'know? It also doesn't help that there's only 1 pose for legs in the Assault Box.

I magnetised the packs quite successfully so I could do double duty :)
