Black Templars 1500 Build Request

My brother and I are surprising a friend by buying him a Black Templar army. We already have many BT marines and one Land Raider Crusader. I don't play Black Templars or know anything about them. I need your 1500 point army list ideas to make a competitive all comers list. I will be using this as a guide for our further purchases. Thank you!

I would say buy him a codex and let him pick... There is no way to know someones play style with out them gaming.

Well that's not happening but thanks anyway. Obviously a person can always add to their army later. Just going for a very well rounded BT list for a new player. I could think of many such builds for armies I am familiar with.
