Orcs & Goblins or Vampire Counts?

I'm planning on switching to Warhammer on Friday when I get paid and I'm stuck between choosing Orcs & Goblins and Vampire Counts. I'm good at painting Orcs and I love their model range - lots of different types of units with great character in them (just love the way Savage Orcs look). With Vampire Counts I also like the varied amount of units they have, the different way of painting them and their own unique units such as the Mortis Engine and Coven Throne. Plus I also like the way they can summon units.

Problem is I can't decide which, both are horde armies, both have great models and varied units and both have overall good magic.

Just can't decide on which. Help, opinions and suggestions welcome.

I prefer VC myself, you can do so much with them. Paint up other armies infantry as ghosts to use as counts-as, make all kinds of crypt themed terrain pieces as unit fillers ec. You can do a lot with OnG too of course but it always seemed much more work.

I do like the VC units very much and i also like the O&G units very much too, lol. Just hard to decide.

O&G are great fun, but somewhat unpredictable. If that appeals, go with them, if you want a more steady pair of hands go with VC.

Why not do both? What I did when I was in a similar pickle was I took Skaven models and converted them to Vampire Counts (this was 6th ed). You can take the O&G models and convert them to undead. I think it would pose a very good converting challenge. If you do it right you can have a very good looking Undead Ork army. Just a thought.

Well it's Friday and in the end ive decided to do Orcs & Goblins and i think the main part for choosing them is the fact that their Army Book is available for the iPad :P

Well ive played Warhammer before but this time around i aim to stick to it properly.

Here is a list of what i have bought:
1x O&G Battalion = Comes with two nice sized infantry units and cavalry units.
1x Orc Warboss = The Warboss will ride the boar and join the unit of 5 Boar Boys and the Orc on foot will be the Battle Standard Bearer and join the unit of 15 Orc Boys.
1x Goblin Shaman = This tiny guy will join the unit of 20 Goblins.
1x Night Goblins = These cheeky little chappies will be armed with bows, sit at the side of the battle and wait for the enemy to charge them, thinking they will get an easy kill. But...
1x Night Goblin Fanatics = ...They will encounter 3 Fanatics hiding amongst the Night Goblins waiting for just this mistake :P If it works then lots of smashed foes.

Currently i plan on assembling and painting them unit by unit so i actually have finished models before i move on.
