Evening!
So following on from two slightly ranty threads, here's one that's all lovely-wovely cuddly-wuddly.
I'm sure all of us have various bitz knocking about the place, from the remaining odds and sods from armies, right up to the odd sprue representing an aborted venture.
I reckon if we got enough people to send their bits to a centralised location, we could cobble together whole board ready units, possibly even armies. These we then bung up on Ebay, or otherwise auction off, with the proceeds going to an agreed charity.
Could even do it on a country by country basis (so one for the US, one for UK etc). Just seems a nice thing to do!

Could kick it off at Bolscon, after a fashion.
The Gaming Hall at WW has a building area. Blag that, and take it in turns to delve into the collective bitz box, turning out one off pieces to then be bunged up Fleabay or wherever (or even sold off through BoLs, with permission of course) with proceeds going to charidee. Every has to bring some bitz.
I know my first donations....got a box of plastic Raptors coming saturday for 'poops and giggles' building (ordered before I got financially bummed!). Bodies will likely all be used, but the other spares are fair game. Likewise the Space Wolf Terminators I have. Once I've built the spare bits go for donations. I should also, somewhere, have one sprue 10 Horrors and 10 Gor which were destined to become Forsaken. They can be added in.
Plus I have assorted Necron bits knocking about.
Terrain, infantry, characters, anything is fair game. The more unique, the more we stand to raise! Just need to bring your own tools and glue.
And should BoLscon be a success, and get proper sanctioning from Bigred, this could become an annual event in itself, spesh if we start booking our own venue to suit our gaming needs.

Well yes, it's a great idea. We need to actually be able to be at Warhammer World first. :p

Researching as we speak! Have contacted my store manager. I'm not at all convinced about the whole 'no non-GW events' thing. Happy to be proven wrong though!

Well, just say it isn't an event. It's guys playing games and spending money!

To be fair, it is just that at the moment!
Though I might point out to my local manager (my former boss and all round good egg) that we're looking at doing a charidee bitz build. Never know, might get a White Dwarf face dropping by to make one!

That'd be cool.
We're doing this Tale of Gamers thing to hopefully get put up on the website.
