My Imperial guard is coming to its natural end. I have a few squads to paint up but then I really cant do anymore with it – 10,000pts + 7000pts superheavies is enough for me, so obviously a new 40K army us in order.
This is where hopefully you lovely BOLS’ers come in.
I really want to do a CC focused army for a different style of play and have narrowed it down to 5 options:
• Blood Angles – have a soft spot for them as have had 2 armies before but never in my eyes did I do them justice, plus exact opposite style of play than IG.
• Space Wolves – Never done them before and really like the fluff and character of the army.
• Chaos Space marines – having had a chance to look through the new codex at Gamesday would love to do a CC army, probably Kharn and berserkers.
• Horus Heresy World eater’s army – expensive but this would probably help reign in my buying + love the HH era. I would see if I could build the list it to be BA count as for normal games.
• Dark Angels - a curve ball but never done them before and Deathwing appeals to me but obviously all codex knowledge is rumor.
All thoughts and comments are very much appreciated with regards to this hobby or death decision.
