Just for fun really. Which Primarch do you think represents you the best.

No wishful thinking here though, yeah I would love to think myself as Sanguinus but that's not happening. He is far too good looking and all round angelic for me to see anything of me in him.

Not sure about myself, but I am thinking maybe one of the more boring conservative ones.

Well, my two Chapters:

Storm Wardens - As of yet don't have a Primarch, I just like Claymores and mocking the Welsh. :p
Dark Angels - I like the secretiveness, and their massive amount of plasma weapons, not a fan of Johnson, due to him having not much background.

My played Legion:

World Eaters - Kharn is my favourite character, but Magnus is my favourite Primarch? But World Eaters have rules!

Overall, my Chapter and Legion choices are not tied to who my favourite Primarchs are. :p

I play Salamanders too. Mainly because I like painting green. But they are a chapter that despite all the changes that makes a human a space marine, the Salamanders seem to hold onto their humanity the most. They regard themselves as true protectors of men.

This is simple. I was originally going to get a box of 5 terminators for £20. I was going to get ultramaries as they were the poster boys and a friend had painted his marines blood angel colours. Then I spied a box of death company for £18, which had 10 death company marines + chaplain. So I thought awesome going to get me some of them. Then reading on the back of the box about the racial memory and that Sanguinius knew what he was going to face and did it anyway made be a huge fan.

Leman Russ for me. Like him i love drinking, and having a good story time with friends (while drinking), but at the same time I'm the kind of guy that brings a shotgun to a knife-fight, and doesn't bat an eyelash at it either. Another similarity to Russ is the trust/betrayal aspect, if someone back stabs me, then all they can do is run. While i don't consider myself attached to animals (dogs or cats), i have spent most of my life surrounded by big dogs like Great Danes, Pyrenees, and mastiffs so something the size of a Fenris Wolf wouldn't bother me at all. (especially if I'm wearing power armor or better :P )

It's because of this I think I'd be most like Vulkan. I'm very much a "do for other people before myself" type of person, much like the personality of the Salamanders (in fact, it's that quality that attracted me initially). Plus, like Vulkan, I have a huge black johnson. ;-)

Second choice would definitely be Russ, for all of the rabble-rousing reasons others have stated.

He was originally American Indian (Apache /Comanche type Indian), hence the original Indian feathers and other symbols on the Deathwing. GW has changed things over time, including Johnson's skin colour. I am just wondering when Vulcan whose legion had black skin and red eyes, is going to change colour as well.

Remember 40K is a changing thing, and if GW wants to re-write the history printed in previous 40K novels and editions, who are we - mere mortal gamers to argue. LOL

As much as GW do like to fiddle with the fluff and back story, I can't see the black skin and red eyed salamanders changing their appearance now, with so much black library books and other references to the unusual appearance. I think it's here to stay. I think I read somewhere that not all Salis have this trait though and it's only those recruited from nocturne.

But I suspect you were just using this example to illustrate your point. Which was a good one too :)

For one, I harbour deep resentments (and a book of grudges!) I'm also definitely a "turtling" player whether table-top or RTS (it's better to be the guy in the bunker with the machine-gun than the guy charging it!)

I wanted to be Russ... I so sooo badly wanted to be Russ... but I can't justify the reasons. I totally love him and the Wolves but I don't fit the bill.
Honestly I'm probably more like El'Jonson or Dorn. But if I had to stand on the spot and give a name it'd be El'Jonson.

Like him, I can think and plan really well. I can conduct sweeping victories on the field of battle (really I can, it's why my friends don't like playing strategy/war games against me) and as the second-in-command for someone better than me, I will only ever excel.
However we both have our downsides - the self-reliance that borders on extreme, the inability to trust completely and the hostility against willful ignorance.

I don't have a mane of golden hair though :p

Hmm after much deliberation I think I would probably be Omegon. Reason I say him rather than Alpharius is because I've always felt I would be just as happy being the wingman as the leader, but I certainly would step up to the plate if it was required (and has been, before now).

That and I have ulterior motives... I usually play evil armies, even though deep down I reckon I'm a nice enough guy! That and I'm rubbish at the game, so by playing evil armies and losing, I'm doing good... right?
