I apologize if this has been asked already. If I fire the lascannons and typhoon missile launcher at fliers, am I able to use Power of the Machine Spirit to fire the venegance launcher at a ground target?

Of course. no problem at all.
If you have declared Skyfire the PotMS is resolved as a Snap Shot.

Edit:
Ofcourse the answer itself is yes; you can use PotM to fire ground target. However, you will only be able to fire snapshot at groundtargets (if you chose to use skyfire rule/mode)
/edit
Ignore following:
**We figured it out so that the answer is no:**
Basic Rules for aircraft shooting:
The rules were something like "choose to fire ground or airtargets" (skyfire or not) and thats the mode you shoot that turn (either ground targets with your BS and snapshots at fliers, or other way around)
Relevant part of the Power of the Machine spirit:
Shoot another weapon, even to a different target. Otherwise follow the rules for normal shooting
And as per normal shooting rules states that flier has to choose either to skyfire or not (before rolling to hit naturally), it affects the PotM fire aswell.
That was our reasoning, it could be that we are wrong though. More input is always welcome.

you are following the rules for normal shooting. If you declare 'skyfire' then the normal shooting is 'snap shot' when targeting at a ground targets.

If I have to fire snap shot, then I can't fire the vengeance launcher since it is a blast weapon. But PotMS says that I can fire at full ballistic skill. Would that override the snap shot effect?

no.
The rulebook FAQ is explicit. Nothing overrides snap shot unless explicitly stating so (ie, it has to say, overrides snap shot).
