As we all know, Forge World are doing jetbikes, and they are very pretty. It's nice they're World Eaters too, as that's the only pre-heresy army I have. But it was just pointed out to me that they look a little... overly... well, I don't actually want to say it on a family forum. But they are ribbed. And if they were real, I imagine the engines would vibrate.

And now I've had that pointed out, I can't unsee it. :( Especially the plasma cannon version. They're still lovely models, but sweet mercy, I just can't unsee it.

They aren't world eaters jet bikes, they're only painted that way.

I play Eldar and Tyranids. Take a look at most of our guns and weapons.

Oh and look at Dark Angel Power Swords. There's some homoerotic implication for you right there, given what we may or may not know about them (nudge nudge wink wink).

I think the FW have overdone the weathering masterclass - almost look like pre-paints that haven't travelled well from their sweat shop in Hong Kong...

I've always found that FW models look that way...as does any model that's painted for for realism and less for any sort of style.

But as to the OP...yeah. Now I can't unsee it either.
Though hey, as Anggul pointed out, it still doesn't top Tyranid guns...which are living, muscular tubes that contract and spasm to 'fire' their munitions. There's really no other way around that one.
