Is there anyone out there that happens to have pre-existing stats or any ideas for stats, wargear, and special powers that could be used in a 40k game? I am making a custom Horus to battle a custom Sanguinius, however I don't really know too much about Horus's abilities or back story to even attempt to make it up. I just thought it would be neat to recreate the fight on the Vengeful Spirit. So any help would be great.

I used to use these rules for him which I got from seing other peoples home brew rules and put together these. Of course I haven't updated these for 6th edition yet.

RULES FOR HORUS

WS BS S T W I LD SV
Horus- Warmaster: 8 5 6 7 5 6 10 2+/3+

Independent Charecter

Wargear: Mechanicas Terminator Armour, Talon of Horus, Apacalypse Mace, Eye of Horus

Special Rules:

Mechanicas Terminator Armour: Gifted to Horus as a pledge by the Dark Mechanicus. This armour is master crafted and fitted with alien and forbidden technoliges. Teleportation device Horus may move 12" in the movement phase. In the movement phase Horus and 1 unit with a model within 6" of him may Deepstrike without scattering. (yes this is for if he is already on the table) Also has the normal Deepstrike ability. Personal Void sheild - value of 12 any glancing or penitrating hit will nock it out for a turn. in following turns will be revived on a +5. (this only applies to shooting attacks and yes it must be dealt with before dealing with armour and inv. saves)

Talon of Horus: Master crafted Lightning claw and personal icon

Apacalypse Mace: Gifted to Horus by Perturbo. An ancient and powerfull artifact. Adds +2 to Armour Penetrating results. Treated as a Thunder Hammer in all respects (except does not reduce Int to 1) use Horus's normal INT.

Eye of Horus: Created By Magnus with powerfull sorceries this jewel gives Horus a 3+ Inv. save/ ignores psychic effects on a 3+

Warmaster: Horus was the favored son of the Emporer. He learned and mastered all ways to engage in battle. He also taught most of the Primarches the ways of war. Does not suffer penalties/modifiers or effects to Leadership. All are inspired by the Leadership or even sight of Horus. All Friendly forces may use his LD. He may rearrange D6 units after set up. Reserves come on table in rounds 2,3,4 however Horus chooses. He may always choose his forces side of the table.

Horus may choose one tactic before any game:
Infaltrate - 1 unit gains infaltration even if normally unavailable (except tanks and super heavies)
Preliminary Bombardment - role a die for every enemy unit on 5+, the unit takes D6 Str.5 AP5 hits
Flank March - Horus may choose what table edge Reserves come from
Ambush - Enemy Reserves are attacked in route to the battle field on a role of 4+ they must take D6 Armour saves before being placed on table, Vehicles take a glancing hit on a 5+.
Speartip - Assault on turn he deepstrikes (along w/attached squad)

Honour Gaurd: The Marnival often acompanied Horus into battle, Ezekyle Abaddon, Horus Aximand, Garviel Loken

SpearTip: Horus's favorite tactic was to eliminate the enemy's HQ in a swift attack. Enemy HQ's count as double their victory points.

Ill Fated: If the Emporer is on the opposing side, HOrus makes all his rearrangments first and gets the first turn.

Go to the Tempus Fugitives website - www.tempusfugitives.co.uk - and look at their PDF campaign packs for Imperial forces in the Great Crusade, Heresy, Siege of Terra etc. They have great rules for pre- and post-rebellion Primarchs, Legions, etc. You may need to register with the site but it's free.

Of course this will all be invalidated by the forthcoming FW books on the Heresy but it's the best resource I know of.
