Currently I'm buidling a Slaanesh themed Warriors of chaos army. Pretty much short of a lord/hero.

I intend use a hero on a steed of slaanesh. However... since I'm not to thrilled about pewter models, and the model GW sells isn't finecast, I rather scratchbuild it myself.

I had the GW model years ago as a conversion for my 40k army, so I know the model comes with a 40x40 square base; whereas I'm almost inclined to say the base is just for practical reasons. Now with my own take on it I want to use a Slaaneshi steed like the Daemonettes ride, which goes on a normal cavalry base.

So long story short;

Conversions and basesize, especially if there are actually similar models ON different bases throughout fantasy. Anyone have clarification on this?

In short, no. GW continues to be unhelpfully vague on bases, with nothing beyond the requirement to be on an 'appropriate sized base'. Common sense should prevail here - if it's a similar size to an existing model, use those bases.
