So, if I want to play as a warcaster, but I don't want to use any of the existing characters from Warmachine, what minis are there for me? I haven't seen anything from Chronoscope, but with the plethora of Steampunk minis coming out, I can't imagine that there aren't some pretty steller minis to be had.

There is definately one choronoscope guy in steam armour.
Also there is the Iron Kingdoms dude with the spear in steam armour.
Hasslefree minis have got one.
Erm, you can parts order bits from Warmachine and bodge one.
Otherwise, as far as fully armoured steampunk minis go, there arn't a great deal of them about presently.

Is the hangup PP miniatures, or character miniatures? There are both male and female Journeyman Warcasters in Cygnar's model range - I think the male is unadorned but the female will require some time with a file to take the cygnus off her shoulder if your character is not from Cygnar.

I'd really prefer something that people don't immediately recognize as a warmachine mini. I could do something with the journeyman warcasters, though.

Well, It's a tad difficult - If you wanted to pick up a Mechanika weapon and forgo the warcaster armor, then you can use pretty much any generic steampunk or fantasy mini. Throw some glowy bits on the weapon and you're done. The warcaster armor has a pretty unique aesthetic though, so if you wanted to use it, I'd suggest using a stock warcaster as a base for a conversion. That said, you can search through the Chronoscope (http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/chronoscope) line at Reaper for steampunk stuff, though there's nothing in armor, and Wyrd has some things in thier Malifaux line that might work - C-Hoffman (http://wyrd-games.net/shop/C.-Hoffman.html) and Leviticus (http://wyrd-games.net/shop/Leveticus.html) specifically.
EDIT: been so long since the initial post I forgot you had already checked Reaper's stuff.

Yeah, but Reaper's stuff is changing all the time. I was kind of surprised to see a Warcaster among the 2nd wave of Bones minis.
Right now, the character that I've made isn't a warcaster (and I have a second one in the wing since our current campaign will be ending in a month or so).
Thanks for the help, there are some really good steampunk minis out there.
By the way, has anyone else taken a good long look at Guild of Harmony? Man, those are some great steampunk sculpts. Didn't see any Warcasters there either, but good looking minis all 'round.
