Demons deployment zone ?

As demons teleport on to the board rather than using traditional deployment zones do you still count what would have been their deployment zone for purposes of linebaker objective points ?

You do, yes. Daemons still have a deployment zone; they just make less use of it than most codices. There are a variety of reasons you might still need to keep track of it, though, not just for Linebreaker points. What if you have allies, or fortifications? Remember, it isn't the daemon deployment zone, it's the army deployment zone. That's true whether or not the army happens to contain nothing but units from the daemon codex.

Your Deployment Zone is set by the deployment type used for the mission; just because your Daemons army can't be bothered to actually *show up* where the game tells you to doesn't change that fact.

For a similar idea, take a Codex Marines list using Kayvaan Shrike as HQ and some packs of Scouts for Troops; you can easily start your entire army outside of the Deployment Zone using Infiltrate, but that doesn't mean the Deployment Zone has changed.

Think of Daemon's as if you just kept all your units in reserves with any other army. You still had the same deployment zone, just chose to put nothing in it.
