Shaw 3029's Evil Sunz Ork Army Armies on Parade local Winner

Hi,

I have not posted my Ork army on here before. It has been in progress for a long time, at least 7 years or so. I finished up a couple of units for it recently and entered it into this years armies on parade competition. It won in the local store but will unfortunately not be going to Games Day.

So what better time than now to show you guys the army in all its glory.

Cheers. I dont know the new names for the colours but the red started off with red gore and I built it up to pure blood red I then added some fiery orange for the final highlights. Gave it a glaze of black and then did another coat of blood red. That last little bit I find helps settle the red.

The Green skin I started with dark angels green with a black wash. Then went straight to snot green adding in bad moon yellow and built it up until I achieved the brightness that I wanted.

The Battlwagons Deff rolla is magnetised as it is the original forge world version (alot chunkier) which means I can easily field it without the deff rolla and it also has the advantage of being able to move up and down and roll over terrain easily.

I also painted the bottom. But one of the crewmans pins came off and was rattling around inside the vehicle which explains why I had to make a hole. But you know its a Ork vehicle!

The Orks mouth was a real pain to make as it was originally a storm boy head with a stikkbomb in it. Took a while get it right.

Here is whats up next for the army. But If I am being honest it wont be done for a little while as Im working on my Imperial Fists. Then I've a Necromunda gang to paint and then my new SS army.

I also have a Stompa boxed up to add to the army, Id like to add one of the new plastic fighta bomba kits and I would also like to add another unit of boys with a trukk.
