I converted and painted one of the Librarians for this project. My local store was asked to contribute 10 Librarians and Tigarius (sp) to the ultramarines project and I was asked to do one of the random Librarians. If you see the army keep an eye out for him. He has a very distinct force sword held backwards behind him and is posed pointing at an unknown target to his left :)

I remember the one you mean. It was in WD in the early 300s, probably, between 305-315.

The guy's name was (?sp) Artur Sczindler. Pronounced similar (but not identical to) that guy who had a list. They used that joke in the article, more or less.

He wasn't technically staff, I don't think, he was a kind of a Sales Rep in, umm, one of the North European countries.

I think the article was called "The Madness of King Artur".

Very impressive. Not least because it wasn't even a significant fraction of his GW collection, let alone all the other minis and games he had.

Just wanted to point out that this is wrong,

You've mixed up the ultramarine chapter in the 3rd space marine codex and the personal army in the 3rd BA one that also conatined a metal thunderhawk was only a couple of bikes, landspeedersm assualt marines, special characters and dreads.

the whole thing is set on a jungle terrain setting with an outpost/ landing pad in the back right which the thunderhawk sits under. On the left is a tiered hill.

They have bright yellow sections in the paint job.

This is the same codex which inside the cover has dante leading a charge of veterans against ork trenches and an picture of space marines versus nurgle marines.

It contains the story with lemarte's describing sanguinius's battle with Horus and how "titanic must have been the clash of these two gods"

Not a sales rep he is a polish store owner, apparently for a long itme his was one of the few places you could get warhammer and other miniatures games anywhere in eastern Europe.

Definitely not a store owner his job involved travelling from store to store to run demo games, especially very large ones, so he needed to have multiple very large armies.

He was on the train because he had to travel for his job, and train, although slow, was the best way to get around.
