Hey all.

Had this idea while staying up too late - and fooled around in Army Builder, and this list popped out.

Conversion beamers suffer one key flaw; its easy to get within 'safe' distance, and 90% of any game will be played at that distance.

With that in mind...the pred executioner, keep the plasma cannon.

Fun idea..dunno how effective it'd be though.

Love to see this game played "Hammerhead" or "long table" deployment. It would wreck face.


Also, that's why I went w/ sniper rifles - to cover that "Safe" Distance.

Your fire power will be somewhat comparable to mech guard, but limited to likely just the first turn. After that, most opponents will be within the second distance boundary and beamers will start to lose their umph.

I like your list and to help you out I would take two thunder fire cannons to slow them down with the tremor shot if you have the points to spare

I could drop the combi-meltas from the scout sarge's.- that would free up some points for 1 TFC.
Or, if I really wanted to drop points I could loose Chronos and the Targeting Augury from the contemptors.... that puts them all at BS4 instead of 5, but....That's an idea.

Yeah for a 100 pts per TFC it will play havc on fast armys like DE and BA. And if you go first the better the chances of slowing them down and find cover for the rest of there army.

x1 Hyperious Air Defense: x4 Platforms(or 2-3 stormtalons and a defense line with a quad gun. stick one of your MotF with it and a squad of scouts. a bs5 with a quad gun is nice)

x2 Thunderfire Cannons (stick them on top of the tower of Fortress of Redemption, for better field of fire)

This is a sound list with what you, I've add other Possibility to your list so tell me what you think

The Air Defense is only 110 points. Can't afford all that you're suggesting when I drop them.
