Hi,
The new FAQ says a flyer arrives via deep strike canīt disembark passengers.
But if the flyer have the hover type, can they come in hover via deep strike and then disembark passengers?

No. it's a flyer. it MUST stay in reserve, regardless of wether it's "hover", "supersonic", or even supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. full stop.

I don't think so, no. A flyer in Hover mode is still a flyer, and the FAQ doesn't say that only zooming flyers can't disembark passengers after arriving by Deep Strike. In fact, that would be pretty silly, since zooming flees can't disembark passengers at all. For both the reasons I think it's pretty clear that even if a flyer enters by Deep Strike in hover mode, it can't disembark passengers.

I agree it must stay in reserve.
My question is, when they arrive via deep strike can they arrive in hover? And if yes, can they disembark passengers?

No you cannot disembark from a flier that arrives via deepstrike because it counts as moving flat out.

So the first time a flyer with hover enters the game, it can choose to hover or zoom. If it leaves the table and enters Ongoing Reserves, it MUST come back in zooming. Regardless, when the flyer deep strikes, the new FAQ states that units may not disembark from it. However, if you come in on a board edge in hover mode and only go 6 inches, then yes you can get guys out....... or at that point you zoom up to 36" and all transport craft have a paratroop type rule, so w/e

the only time they can disembark troops, is if A) it arrives from your board edge and B) it is in hover mode.

Considering GW thinks 'zooming' is an acceptable name for a vehicle's movement mode, I wouldn't be that surprised if they did introduce a USR called supercalifragilisticexpialidocious...

Not strictly true. All Flying Transports (Valkyrie/Vendetta/Stormraven/Night Scythe) Have a way to get out while zooming (albeit a bit dangerous, 'cept the necron :<).
In addition, if anything survives the Flyer dying, then I guess that's technically a disembark?
But normal Disembark, yes, only those two situations.
