insulation foam in the uk??? (Apologies to the other nationalities)

Hey all, i am currently in the planning stage of a modular game (not just for 40k) board that consists of an underground facility. As i don't want to have the facility mounted in a hill for it all, more mounted in the board like trenches, the question is, is there anywhere i could purchase pink insulation foam in the uk?

the problem seems to be that there is too much information out there on the interwebs!!!

Or is this the same thing?

I got some from ridgeons a while back, except it was blue not pink but I think it was the same stuff.

Invest in a hot wire cutter if you do get some. I ended up cutting mine with a breadknife and I don't recommend it.

definatly not the stuff, its made of the loose poly balls same as shipping polystyrene.

i used to work with the blue stuff so had loads of it from scrap at work. but you can buy the blue foam in the UK. just dont get the one with the foil on it.

these guys stock the stuff. though checking the likes of wickes may prove chaeper..... if they stock it.

I got some of the pink or peach coloured foam from B&Q but I had to go to one of their larger trade stores - B&Q Warehouse. They have a bigger range and this sort of insulation foam just isn't marketed at your standard DIYer. You can check their storefinder for the nearest to you.

I get most of my high density blue foam from Sheffield insulation. That is probs the stuff you are thinking of as I have built modular boards and a 10m wing span airplane from it

Alternatively, Screw Fix do a couple of different types, including in 6mm sheets that makes it easy to cut with a knife instead of needing a hotwire cutter and makes it easy to do drastic chnages in elevation. It's what I made my AoP board (http://www.lounge.belloflostsouls.net/showthread.php?t=23577) and Plasma Pistol (http://www.lounge.belloflostsouls.net/showpost.php?p=205725&postcount=23) from (both from the same pack, and a still have a load of it left over!)
