Hey guys and galls

I really could use some help with the following:

Unit:
chaplain - jump pack, digital weapons, plasma gun and Crozius Arcanum
Assault marines (5x incl sergeant) - bolt pistols (4x), chainswords, plasma pistol, power sword and jumppacks

How many attacks do i get to make with this unit in close combat the first turn and the turn there after??

you need to read the rulebook and the model entry...

First off, I'm assuming that this is from Codex: Space Marines
For the Chaplain did you mean plasma pistol, or Combi-Plasmagun?

Pretty normal stuff, nothing out of the ordinary. Do you not have the Codex?

Chaplain (HQ): 3 Attacks (+1 on the charge). 2 Base attacks +1 for extra CC weapon (if Plasma Pistol).
Assault Squad x4: 2 Attacks ea (+1ea on the charge). 1 base attack +1 for extra CC weapon
Assault Squad Sgt: 3 Attacks (+1 on the charge). 2 Base attacks +1 for extra CC weapon.

Kinda hard when your dyslectic and have a hard time reading English.

its indeed a plasma pistol, my bad :D

the base attacks plus the charge i got. the difficulty i have is:
1. hammer of wrath - do all the models get a "free extra" attack

so on the charge:
Chaplain (HQ): 4 Attacks (+1 on the charge). 2 Base attacks +1 for extra CC weapon +1 for HoW.
Assault Squad x4: 3 Attacks ea (+1ea on the charge). 1 base attack +1 for extra CC weapon +1 for HoW
Assault Squad Sgt: 4 Attacks (+1 on the charge). 2 Base attacks +1 for extra CC weapon +1 for HoW.
total: 11 attacks for the sqd?

Hammer of Wrath is like an extra hit for them resolved at initiative level 10...

As in 1 extra per model in the unit.

And you only get the Hammer of Wrath attack if you use the Jump Packs in the Assault Phase instead of the movement phase.

and only models who make it into btb contact.

I would get the Codex in a different language then.

Or, better yet, he could try using what he has (instead of wasting money on an identical book in a different language) and then, when a question that he is having trouble answering presents itself, politely ask some members of the community, most of which are happy to answer any reasonable question, to help him clear it up.

Maybe he wants to learn how to play the game in English? And improve his knowledge of the English language at the same time?

keep this going, I love the speculation.

Considering reading novels would be better–for example young adult novels, because of the level of complexity–I would have picked up a 40k book, probably Horus Heresy, for getting better at english reading.

A friend of mine, all of her rulebooks and codecii were all french versions. She always laughed when I picked up her rulebook and tried to look up a rule.

Perhaps sometimes you really don't have a choice ?
(Is every book available in every language ?? I don't think so)

Wow, seriously your gonna pick on a guy for buying a rule book in English, some food for thought due to he's Dyslexia, he merely has trouble reading the language doesn't mean he can't. Maybe if you actually read peoples post and figured things out before commenting you wouldn't look like a giant *** all the time.
