Black Reach VS Dark Vengeance- Who'd win in a fight?

Here's a silly little exercise. What if the contents of Black Reach got mad at being replaced and teamed up to wage war on the fancy-looking newcomers? Here's the rules:


The game is played on a standard 6x4 board.
The game is Purge The Alien, Dawn of War deployment to keep it simple.
Dark Vengeance doesn't get the Interrogator Chaplain, as it's not going to be in every box.
Each side counts as Battle Brothers (the bonds of sprue-sharing go beyond petty disputes like galactic purges).


I've made an attempt at weighing up the contenders here (http://www.bryssling.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/weekend-silliness-well-i-like-black.html), but I'd like to get some second opinions. I'll play the actual game at some point next week and settle this once and for all.

Black Reach simply has no reliable way to deal with the Terminators, short of the Warboss in HTH.

On the char-side the BR Box has more punch, because of the waaghboss, but DV are three powerweapons und a libby who can spell-out the BRs.

The elite BR has more headcount, but weaker weapons. The assaultcannon of DA comes in handy and choosen will win a cc vs. the nobs (the nobs have no powerclaws).

The TT of BR have a ML vs. the brute, but the DV TT has more devasting shooting power vs. terminators and, if it will come to this: Two S7 weapons vs. the dread...

Orks are better at cc, cultists have advantage in shooting - but lower strenght also. Here i go for the orks, but the will have heavy losses, when they come in charge range.

FA Out of the box, the RW can handle the coptas, better shooting here, likley even in cc.

In the end ... the new ones will excel over the older box.

As much as anything, GW wants to up the anti every time. Each starter box has been bigger and better than the one before it, so theere is no way they'd make the new one weaker than the last!

Well for me it would be Black Reach since I have three boxes of it with two unopen and I do not plan on ever getting a single box of DV.

There is nothing in it that I need.
