Hey guys figured I would throw this up on the forum to get some general feed back good or bad. Say nothing about the front end being misaligned as I Didn't assmble the model :) Other than that have at it. This is a commission for a customer to match an army i did a while back. Example of the basic squad is below as well for comparison purposes.

Sweet Christ I'm in love. The freehand flames are awesome. Any secrets to how they look so great?

Airbrushed colors and then draw the flames in by backfilling black. Pretty time consuming. :)

Ahh, wonders of airbrushing. You know, I got myself a nice brush at a clearance sale at the local teacher's store, and I've yet to use it because I can't convince myself to afford a compressors that's worth a damn.

Sigh.

If you get a compressor dont waste your time on a 200.00 or 300.00 hobby airbrush compressor. They are garbage and have to be costantly filled even if they are "quite". I use a huge compressor that i bought for around 300.00 at sears. I only have to turn it on about once a week (I airbrush almost every day) and I can use it for other things like filling tires and stuff. It is really really loud for about 10 minutes when it fills but its worth it to me.

So are you saying I shouldn't get an Iwata or similar type compressor?

Thats exactly what Im saying. However, it really depends on where you can airbrush at. If you live in a small apartment with neighbors right throught the wall a big compressor is probably a bad idea for you. If you have yor own house or something not connected to neighbors get a big one and save yourself alot of frustration.

Man, you're killing me. Hope you're kidding- this is waaaay beyond 'good' or 'bad', this is awesome. Easily the best painted Thunderhawk I've ever seen. One of those pieces that instantly makes me want to try out new things and become a better painter. Gorgeous!

Ok guys I sexed it up a bit with a background using photoshop. I cut the landing gears off in the photo for obvious reasons. Hope you like.

Very nice sir indeed. I just got mine assembled for my grey knights, and you've given me inspiriation to sit down and figure out a paint scheme and such for mine. I know that I could go plain can o' silver spray paint, but no way! I want it to look great! any suggestions?
