Here is the 1k army ready for a tournament coming up at the end of september. I had a Squad of Long Fangs unpainted and to prepare I needed to get em ready. Now that they are done the rest of the army looks too plain. I'm debating wether I should just buy the new models and start from scratch or if I should freshen the Grey Hunter squads up. I'd only need to add a few colors to make em look the same quality....

Freshening them up is probably the way to go, if you get more models you can always just add them to make a bigger force. If need be you can also strip the paint off the old ones.

These are very nice, I'm not sure they require much touching up!

I was thinking that, they already seem well above the general standard.

I look at my 2nd ed minis and I think I could achieve better results with my eyes closed and dulux paint pod

The old painting isn't at all bad, they look more unfinished than badly done. I'm glad you're giving them a freshen up. The ones you have now finished look great, I'm a big fan of that style of base to. I think my next army may have to have ones like that.
