I wonder if the art department will catch hell for that mistake.

I also wonder if this box will become a collector's item. How often do they screw up a box like that?

I did not buy it alas, I have no love for Tau. :p
I was however tempted.

So are they finally combining all the xenos races into one codex?

Tzeentch's Dark Agent
08-19-2012, 11:32 AM
Yeah, Games Workshop decided that they wanted to make more Imperial forces so they just liquidated all of the Xenos armies to one book.

Sweet, I guess that means we'll finally get to see codex Adeptus Astra Telepathica.

Tzeentch's Dark Agent

There's even a Codex: Adeptus Administratum coming out, it's not very good, it keeps missing pages and is generally not very consistent.

I hope we finally get more powered armoured codices. Saves less than that are stupid.

GW's taking this whole Eldar are Battle Brothers with the Tau thing a bit far.

So it's basically a standard codex?

I also heard a rumor from this GW mastermind who said that with the new round of FAQs coming, its safe to release a morsel for us 3+ wannabes:

- Next 6th ed FAQ will change the armor save to be 2d6, and adjusting armies, and weapons armor penetration capabilities to match.

- Marines still get their 3+ save, while generally this is the chart:
Pre FAQ saves After FAQ saves
6+ -> 11-12
5+ -> 9-10
4+ ->7-8
3+ -> 3
2+ -> 2

Only marines will be getting to keep their 3+ save, xenos that had 3+ will be considered as if they had 4+

I also heard that they felt that terminators and artificer armors wouldn't be worth their points if double 1s' would fail the test automatically.

As always, take with a grain of salt. But we should be seeing the new FAQs 1st september at the same time to the release of the boxed starter set.

I hate to say it, but this seems incredibly unlikely. It's one thing to shift stats and change the way weapons work in an FAQ, it's something else entirely to completely change one of the game's basic mechanics. If they wanted to 6th Edition to be the edition of 2d6 saves, I think they would have put that in the corebook.

And having to roll every save separately would suck.

I'm pretty sure that this was a tongue-in-cheek type of rumor-mongering.

FINALLY! The best thing about 2nd ed was having Khornate Terminators with 2+ on 2d6 saves. They've brought back overwatch and armour penetration in close combat, it's definitely time to bring back 2d6 saves.

Not sure if serious.
