hey guys n gals
just wanted to share with yall some of what has been going on in my dealings with Three Stages Studios and the true scale terminators that were featured here on BOLS back in the spring.
After 4 months of dealing with Daniel and his telling me they were 'on the way, with extras, and a lil more $ for my wait'...I posted on Dakka, BnC, Ammobunker and a few other smaller forums my troubles...I have since found that this is a bigger scam than I initially believed.
The dakka thread is now 9 pages
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum...10/468034.page
PLease share this with your friends if they are contemplating purchasing from TSS as I do not believe them to be a reputable company and there are people preparing legal claims against the proprietor for a multitude of allegations of theft of cash and minis for commission under different aliases.
I did receive my $ back...after I posted my troubles and receiving several threatening emails.
Thanks and hope yall are having a good one

I thought I was the only one. Good to know but sad. I was willing to cut him a break since he had a family member die. I will see if I can get a refund.

Anybody who trots out personal issues in response to a service issue is pulling a fast one...

Ye GODS!! I cannot tell you how many times I've heard that dodge. The now defunct "New Wave Games" out of Alpharetta Georgia used to sell that line all the time. Psycho is exactly right.

Uberdoc.... I think we all cut people a break and this person uses that a gainst us.
Te death in the 'family' was 3 months ago. I would email him daily for a refund. Please read the full dakk thread for the scope of this scam.
Please follow up and hold this person accountable.

I hope the legal action agains him get him imprisoned, this kind of serial scamming shouldn't be allowed to continue just by offering refunds to worm out of it. Sue the mother fudecaker!

We received word from the original author of the post (Falk from Tabletop Fix) that there were allegations of shenanigans with this vendor and we deleted the post from the archives to prevent its discovery by any more readers until more information came in.
We have no specific personal experience with this vendor, but as ways suggest Caveat Emptor in cases such as these.

Ugh. Boy that brings back some memories. "We're having problems with our supplier", "Those items are on backorder"...(forever),"We lost your shipping info", and on and on.....ad nauseam.
Disreputable companies not only hurt the hobby, but make it very hard for honest companies to earn new customers.

Well, you could chuckle in a slightly psychotic manner and say "oh, did he also screw customers over?".

I have been conversing with him via email.
I received the items I ordered along with an apology. I do believe that his mother passed away.
I truly believe that he had no intent to "scam" but was a case of the demand was higher than he could keep up with and extreme personal loss. Having lost a parent myself, I know how disruptive it can be to your every day functions. I also work for a Hospice company and I have seen how others deal with it.
He is a small scale operation with a primary "real" job.
Did he handle things right when he started having trouble. no
I read the thread at Dakka and it was really a mob mentality, I want no part of that. Sometimes you do have to make a point and blow it out in the open to get results - once you get the results, you get the refund or the product then you should let it go.
He made a mistake - he corrected it with me. I am satisfied and have no ill will toward him.

Honestly, trust me, it is a scam, one of many that he has perpetrated over the years. He goes by many guises but is well known throughout the hobby as a scam artist, but always seems to get away with it despite several referrals to US police.
He always fulfills a small number of orders to make his operation look legit, then disappears usually using the same excuse again and again, which to be honest gets a bit offensive after a while.
However there is now a legitimate case against him, some people do get refunds but even if you do please let the guys at Dakka know as they are building up a case for the police and hopefully this time he will get prosecuted.
