Several months ago, I started searching for a way to improve the quality, lower the price and bump the production level to meet my customers’ expectations. I am happy to say that I have met and exceeded these goals. The Leviathan Crusader has made it to the pre-production phase (mold draft and parting line establishment for metal tooling) and is ready to become a plastic injected model kit. Not Resin, not Restic, not some soft plastic hybrid, but injected high impact styrene. The same kind of model kit you will find in any hobby store.

One of our largest stumbling blocks has been keeping up with customer demand for our resin kits. We have found it increasingly difficult to produce our large kits in a quality, quantity and price point to meet my high standards. The constant search for a suitable service provider and manufacturing method for our resin kits has stifled design and production, taking me away from the important work of product design and game development.

On August 16th; the first day of Gencon, we will open up our Kickstarter campaign to help fund this switch from resin and metal miniatures and models to an all plastic line.

Very nifty, I may pledge for one myself. If I may make a suggestion, create a smaller pledge (1-5 dollars) for people who want to support what you are doing but for whatever reason aren't willing to pledge 89 to get a model.

We would also like to introduce you to the Cargo Mule, a semi-autonomous mechanical beast of burden. No longer do you need to tie up valuable fighting forces, hauling supplies, ammunition and light support weapons from one end of a battlefield to the other. The (HHM) Hammer Head Mule is capable of following simple commands such as, follow, return to depot and move to that objective. The other option is to utilize the (CCM) Central Command Mule, controlled by your command detachment via a coms link routed back to the Communications Officer. This allows your command squad to control the Mule's mission, freeing your troopers for the fight.

I like, but I have to admit I'd be much more inclined to peldge for some infantry and a big stompy robot if there were options to make the soldiers female. This isn't a suggestion, just stating my own position. I don't need more male soldiers, but female soldiers are rare.

Nice one, contratulations Dreamforge. This stuff aint my cup of tea really, but I think it's a good thing for wargaming in general to have more high detailed plastic kits come out. These ones look to be of a high standard as well, and that's always a good thing to have in the miniatures world IMO.

EDIT : hell, may pledge to this anyway. $25 (inc shipping) is a pretty good deal for ten plastic troops like that.

I hope this evolves into it's own game. Theres more than enough ideas for it to be able to stand on it's own two feet. It would be nice to have another science fantasy game with hard plastic kits too - the more variety the better, and people that don't like 40k can go with something like this instead.

Personally I much prefer the look of both the human soldiers and more heavily armoured ones to 40k's equivilents - it looks more like it is closer to Dune's version of science fantasy to me. The renders of the heavy armoured ones also remind me heavily of the Sardaukar! :) Hopefully you'll introduce some non-giger/ST-bugs looking non-humanoid aliens into it at some point too ;)
