View Full Version : Question about new Hive Tyrant model

Howdy-
Can anyone tell me if the basic size of the new Hive Tyrant/Flyrant/Swarmlord model is the same as the older one?
I have the previous generation model, the one with the metal torso and legs but plastic arms....
Is the torso of the new model the same size, or larger?

It is actually EXACTLY the same. If you were to paint them both the same, youd have to weigh them in your hand to tell the differende between metal and plastic. Id reccomend the new one though, it's a sweet kit!

The differences in the kit are very minor. They are the same size. Differences I noticed with the new one is the toe "dew claws" are larger and the teeth on the heads are smaller. Also the details on the guns, talons etc are more crisp.

It's an amazing kit, and you get a load of sweet bits no matter what you build with it. Sadly... it lacks brain-leech devourers.

This is true. On devourers, I just use the Fleshborer hives off the Tervi/Tyranno set, as not too many people use them on the Tyrannofex.

The kit is exactly the same with a lot more options at your disposal. The wings are especially phenomanal in that kit, I painted mine up and they are just stunning

I own a carnifex, so I just use the devourers from that kit, if you really want the devourer kit for your hive tryant, get ahold of a carnifex weapon sprue
