Thing is it might be stereotypy, but it is for the large part true.

We have such a different culture to everyone, be they our closest culture across the pond or our closest neighbours, them damn dirty frogs.

There should have been ond on old british predjudices and racism :-P

Or a full ENGLISH breakfast?

DrLove42

Curry came top in a poll of favourite foods a few years back

It may not be the "quintissential" brit food but it won most popular.

And lets face it is there anything worse than random person talking to you on the bus?

Tzeentch's Dark Agent

There is nothing worse, I usually glare at someone that tries to talk to me, or disengage from the conversation immediately.

Curry became part of the British diet nearly two centuries ago in some form or another, the reverse is also true. Traditional British Raj dishes are a mark of sophistication in some areas of India.

The bit about class system was quite right, we are as obsessed with it even though it is largely irrelevent.

Psychosplodge

Breaking News There have been some major changes made to the Olympic badminton schedule, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) has announced. Team GB medal hopefuls Chris Adcock and Imogen Bankier were drawn in the same group as the Chinese world champions in the mixed badminton doubles, but this has now been changed due to regulations

I used to be an athlete like you, til I took a javelin to the foot.

I have trouble taking the Olympics seriously, and I don't just mean the London Olympics. I mean the Olympics in general. It is a farcial mass of contradictions. It started as an elitist competition for gentlemen (and woman) amateurs, coming together to compete in a mythical concept of fellowship based on an ancient Greek precedent which never existed. As the Olympics have become increasiingly professional and increasingly commercialised it has come closer to the spirit of the ancient games than it has ever been in the past. Yet it is often criticised for exactly that purpose.
One of the most popular elements of the Olympics are a fiction invented by the National Socialists, one of the central myths of universal truce for the Olympics was primarily propagated by the Soviets and cheating in the ancient games was endemic but performance enhancing drugs were perfectly acceptable if extremely crude.

It also has table tennis. What's next? Starcraft tournaments?

I just can't take it seriously.

I think that there should be an olympic games for people who have recieved performance enhancing drugs, how else will this line of research develop quickly?
Since you can use other enhancements like those special swimming suits, almost every aid on the modern recurve bow and air rifle, run faster shoes, better designed cycles, why no see what an enhanced person can do.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English".

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.
