Oh wow, that's a lot of rules updates. This is way better than what I was hoping for. Those new Slaanesh Chariot variants look amazing.

OMG! new plauge bearers look sweet... dont you just wanna give them a hug :) and the nurglings too.

was that a new plastic/FC plaugemarine kit sneaked in the modelling page or was it a FW one? the guy on the right in the 3 marine line up.

flamers seem very pricey if you only get 3 in a kit :(

If I'm not mistaken, it's a CSM and Plaguebearer kitbash.

Hmm this is more chariot than i expected. Three variants, all mounted on the big egg-base? Didnīt they sell enough plastic-seeker?

Anyway the uptdate seem to be interesting. Guess this is a reason to buy a WD. But it sad that there is no csm ...

okay

Pleaguebearer - they look okay, dito for the screemers. But the flamers look better in metal/finecast-version. Dont like all the tiny flames on it. In genral was the metal demons-line nicer to look at as their plastic variants, especially the tzeentichians - Horros looked very smooth n nice back the metal-days. The plastic version ist a bit rough and too much comic. Same goes for the demonettes, but there i like the new plastik kit. Only the seeker are not quiet right, because the look plump on their steed. I liked the female riding position of the older ones.

Okay back to the news. Blue scirbes are very detailed. I like them much. The rest of the wave is only metal to finecast not soo interesting anyway. Did the fiends go cheaper? Like the ugly akwardness of them. Oh yes the nurgling, hmm they look nice n funny, but the even look like a way to sell few units for more money ... cant help it.

But - wth is Skarbrand? I want Skarbrand!

I like the new plaguebears just as much as the old ones. The old ones had a playful look to them, while the new ones have that same playfulness but with nice broad aggressive shoulders. Plus, unlike the Bloodletters/ Daemonettes, they look similar enough to the old ones that you could put them in the same unit and not immediately notice.

I've been waiting to start a Nurgle daemon army since the codex came out... Waiting for cheaper plastic bearers.. But no, they cost almost the same amount as the old ones- WHY!

okay those updates look REALLY sweet.

screamers got boosted in points but the changes make more than up for it. having 3 attacks each with S 5 ap 2 is going to be REALLY nasty. against both. infantry and vehicles. having 2 wounds also makes them tougher.. what however is the cherry on the cup of ice is that they can still turboboost after deepstriking (instead of fire wich they cant anyway) having that sweet 24" movement in addition to those d3 attacks while turbo boosting is just nice.

flamers.. they got so much cheaper and got 2 wounds now each.. awesome. simply awesome.

and those chariots.. did someone read the fleshshredder rule? niiiiiice

as you can do 1-3 chariots (even mix and match them) with exalted and normal chariots you can get a stunning amount of damage. having 3 exalted ones for 270 points and striking not too far away from the enemy... surviving one round of shooting, wich isnt that evil considering 4 hull points and a 5+ invulnerable (yes! soulgrinder may not get it but those suckers do!). after that you assault... having D6 hammer of wrath hits per hull point. so a unit of 3 exalted chariots will have without beeing damaged 12d6 S 4 rending automatically hits that strike at I 10 before they alluress strikes... god those things going to be a priority target! better play 2 units of those :D

as a daemon player (tzeentch with allied 1k sons) i am so happy right now :D

While I like the addition of new units in White Dwarf, the wholesale alteration of existing units is very messy.

Now you have effectively split the Chaos Daemons community. Imagine going to a store and having two armies with the same units and totally different rules, one out of the White Dwarf supplement and one out of the codex.

They need to either make the supplement available as a downloadable PDF soon, or reprint the codex.

This type of thing happened toward the end of 3rd, and you needed a giant pile of rulebooks, army books, white dwarfs, and erratas to play the game at its current state.

I'm sure after a month, after the White Dwarf has sold out, or something similar, that they'll make the rules available online. It wouldn't be very fair otherwise, and they'd be promoting the piracy and copying of their material by not making it available to everyone readily.

I'm glad the Flamers and Screamers basicly stayed as they were, I really hated the plastic horrors so I'm relieved to see the flamers and screamers kept their awesome lovecraftian style and didn't go down the saturday morning cartoon monster route that the Horrors did.

So I am guessing the large oval is the proper base for ALL Daemon Chariots now? My conversions are on MC bases >< It wont be hard to stick them on the oval, but I am kinda bummed I have to get a hold of some ovals now (if that's the case).

I really like the Slaanesh stuff, think I'll add it to my 500pt Slaanesh daemon army. The Nurglings are realyl cute too.

"I got a bran' new combine 'arvester an' I'll give you the key!"

Also, the thing that I really like is that the Nurglings are actually a SWARM. Not 2 dudes on a base (ie Scarabs or Rippers), there's like 10+! Awesometactular.

EDIT: Also also, the Blue Scribes look like they're having the best time ever! xD

It looks that way but they do get +1W, +2 I and Flamers got like 10 points cheaper.
Screamers got more expensive but they now have 4 S5 AP2 attacks on the charge. :D

Slaanesh has always been a bit lacking in that unit with the extra punch. Well now my jaw just dropped. Those chariots are awesome. I can so see running this army now. I have lots of 1st edition, 3rd edition and even 5th edition Daemonettes, with the fiends and seekers. This is just another amazing model and sigh, my pocket book is going to feel it. The new Plaguebearers are nice, but the Nurglings are something else, and i mean that in a good way. New rules for the Screamers make them much more useful. Great stuff, all around.

Well I think foremost it's great to see White Dwarf with more rules in it.

It's what people have been asking for for ages, and I believe the last 3 months have all had rules content in one form or another.

It's also great that Daemons are getting some much needed attention, although I think most of us were blind sided by this as I would have bet flat on it being Chaos Legions this month.

In terms of the models the plastic Plague Bearers are really, really nice. There is a lot of detail in them and they are very characterful, and also much needed too.

I'll be honest I'm not a big fan of the new Slaaneshi chariot although it may be the photos. Everything looks a bit chunky compared to the current plastic Daemonettes but I'll reserve judgement until I see the actual models.

It's about time we had new Screamers and they look great, but I am also not a huge fan of the flamers but I think that might just be the paint job to be honest.

But nevertheless a great release, my Daemon playing friend will be very happy and it does indeed look like GW may well be pushing out a release a month.

I'm happy, and most everyone I know partaking of the hobby will be as well.
I'm not a Slaaneshi player but those chariots are great.
Also, I may just have to get some Flamers and Screamers (and Pink Horrors, funnily enough :o) for my Daemons detachment.

If that's to be believed, where is the PDF of the Sisters of Battle Codex?
