hi

well thats today's tutorial its farily easy, cheap and looks quite nice :D
now onto buisness!

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BXQoCUSpIGc/UAsX-89mVvI/AAAAAAAACNA/jPhsguBRGK0/s1600/DSCN6780.JPG

bits needed!
- some plasticard tubing (slightly thicker than the bolters barrel)
- a bolter
- a autocannon magazine (pic here )

1) cut the 'bullets' off the magazine so you only have 2 plastic semicircles !
2) glue them together! (to make a circle!)
3)sand it down so the front and back are smooth (and fill with milliput/gs if need be)
4) shave a little off the top so its like this
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QusDfDGQjsg/UA0e5ASbOsI/AAAAAAAACNs/-rpu9WsqOkg/s1600/circles.JPG
for some reason thats a really big pic but i digress.
5) cut off the magazine of the bolter
6) glue the new drum mag in.
7) cut off a section of plasticard tubing (really the length is up to you)
8)glue that to the front of the gun.
9) ???
10) PAINT! (or get some amazingly cheap commision painter to paint it for you HINT HINT)

so thats it! and no obligitory visit my blog link! although you should :p

and if any of you do actually do this id love to feature the finished products on my blog!

Looks good.
I'm trying to decide if that is a stalker pattern or some kind of supressor.
The bullet belt across his chest where is that from?

a stalker patter IS a bolter with a supressor if im not wrong :P (im using it as a master crafted bolter)

the ammo belt is from dragonforge. and i must say it was cheap, well sculpted AND shipped quickly :D

Tactical squad alternate serge head, unless I'm mistaken.

I thought the stalker was the one with extended barrel for greater precision for sniping?

It doesn't really matter it. I do like the way though it is slightly wider than the original barrel, too often you see them as the same width and I find myself looking at it thinking "how does that actually attach?"

As an alternative, I've just finished converting sternguard combi-bolters with the ammo drums cut from the left over arm bolters in the sanguinary guard. They look great and it's a super simple conversion.

Another bit that make excellent suppressors/barrel extensions are the antennae from Grey Knight Interceptor packs.

Nice conversion job, fuzzbuket, the drum mag is a nice touch.
