Aegis Defence measurements

Can anyone supply me with the measurements for the Aegis Defence Line? Inches or MM are fine.

I'm wanting to scratchbuild both Tyranid and Chaos ones. Without just buying and modifing the GW one.

I believe the Aeigis Defence Line is very similar to the Targus Assault Blockade (https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B97Rk-BalgZbR2JzRFZqa2t4MEU)- an STC (http://40kaddict.blogspot.co.uk/2011/02/terrain-is-everything-standard-template.html) discovered by Techno-Archaeologist Avro Vulcan (http://40kaddict.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/flufftastic-techno-achaeologist-avro.html) on Ferron Proxima. (http://40kaddict.blogspot.co.uk/2010/10/battlefield-mars.html) I believe it's a simple enough construction that can be made using all forms of rockcrete or foamboard.

I don't have the Aegis Defence Line either and have the same problem (for my Orks).

So I read on the GW site that the ADL set measures 28" in total (4 large and 4 small sections).

And then I started calculating -> 1 large and 1 small equals 7" (28" divided by 4) and seeing that the large seems to contains 2 small sections (and then some) my guess is that the large one is 5" and the small one 2" (large = small x 2.5 which seems about right)

This is how I am going to construct my Orks Defence Lines ;) (already have the FW Ork Flakk gun as substitute for the Quad Gun :D )

(remember: I don't have the Aegis defence line set either, I'm just guessing)

OK, I have a set, I just measured them.

The long wall piece is 5-3/16 inches, or about 13cm, in length.

The short piece is 1-15/16, or about 5cm, in length.

At the tallest, they're 1-9/16, or 4cm in height.

My guess wasn't far off then :D

Yep. Here in America we use, inches, half inches, quarter inches, eighths and 16ths. You take an inch and keep dividing down by half. Weird, huh? I wonder who gave us this ridiculous system. :p

Thats Ok. Here in the UK we use 16th's and 10th's of an inch. I have seen both used on the same technical drawing. Not bad for a country that is supposed to be metric! Give me SI units or... well, I might have to get my calculator out!

It is about 5/12 of a foot and the smaller sections are 5/12 of a hobbit foot, assuming is a west country hobbit fed on 3 shekels of grain in one deflange of a tri-moon cycle.

In total the aegis line measures 2.3 cubits and should cost 1/3 of a bakers dozen groats to make.
