Starting Dark elves

so. i have the witch king. i have a lord on a dragon too, i even have an oop hydra with handlers, but i'd like some ideas for a small force. no more then 500 points or so. what might i include that would make it tactically diverse despite so few in number? any ideas out there? i've no experience with dark elves

Well you're certainly not going to get the Witch King or a lord on dragon into a 500 points force. My suggestion would be to get the Batalion box, which is pretty good for the Dark Elves and will give you units of Corsairs, Crossbowmen, Spearmen and Cold One Cavalry. To that I'd add a Sorceress and a Reaper Bolt Thrower and your Hydra and play a few games and see how it goes. You'll likely end up wanting another Batalion box to boost the size of your Corsair and Spearmen units and have a 2nd Crossbowman unit.

With that you'll have the core of a pretty decent force, and look then to adding some special units to it depending on your preference and/or your regular opponents.
