This is one rumor that I hope is true, I play a lot of armies but when I play my Orks. IA is the best, I love Spanner boyz, which are just normal boyz. But instead of a Nob you get a normal mek. Best way to get a power weapon in a Ork army and some cool guns. The gun wagons are great and are not to powerful, but just a lot of fun. I really hope this rumor is true, since FW has some of the best units in their IA books.

There really is no reason not to allow the appropriate FW units in regular games of 40k, ditto for their army lists. In fact FW say you can, but you should just inform your opponent before hand. This has changed from 'ask their permission' to 'inform prior to the game' which is a big step. It's certainly true that most tournaments don't allow but, but FW say that is up to the tournament organisers themselves and nothing to do with FW.
I do agree a FAQ from GW saying 'FW are totally official and you shouldn't reject them just because they are FW' would be really handy though.

Or even just an official statement would be handy.

Plus FW special characters are just more fun to play I think.

Plus FW special characters are just more fun to play I think.
