How does Obyron's Cleaving Counterblow work now that Independent Characters are no longer separate units in CC (if attached to a squad)? In a challenge or if he's by himself, the rule is easy to apply, but when attached to a squad it is a hard one to figure out.

Does he get a bonus attack for each time his unit is missed by the enemy unit?

Does this rule have no effect other than when he is alone or involved in a challenge?

I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to figure this out.

It's only when he's on his own or in a challenge then.

Yup I was just thinking about this the other day. He already gets screwed by the fact that you attack the units WS now and not his (4 vs 6 most times). I plan to play it as such until I see a FAQ answer:

If Van O is the one taking the wounds (ie up front), I will be counting any missed attacks as attacking him. I am allocating the wounds to him, so he is obviously getting attacked.

CC in 6e is so stupid now it makes me grind my teeth just thinking about it.
