Lots of Assault squads!

Hiya everyone .. i have figured out i need around 4 boxes of assault squads so i will have 2 squads of 10 ( i already have 5 ) and i want to use a box to make a death company as they will already have jump packs so it works out cheaper than buying a dedicated death company box and buying the jump packs seperate.

Is this the cheapest way to go about it or is there another way before i splash out? I'm UK based btw :)

Well was kind of wondering if a combat squad would be any use to convert anything, also i'm a bit old fashioned and prefer the touch before i buy aspect, haha i know ebay has lots of bargains but i'm not a fan :(

haha i thought i was buggered the other day .. i got a Devastator box and left the instructions in GW when i had opened it so i assembled them 'blind' ... managed to do it right though :)

Nothing wrong with being adventurous, this is how the really good conversions get done and how we all learn what is possible and what is not. But being so new Id get this first one under your belt, walk first, run later.:)

I think that tact squads with jump packs could work as a conversion, but I'm a Guard man myself so my knowledge of Marines is limited.

That said, I do have 20 tacs, 10 terminators, a dread, and two commanders. Planning on using my custom chapter, the Einherjer, to be a SW-like chapter. I love Vikings, and I love the Wolves!

The kits not much for extra bits. Although the sword, axe, and power fist along with a melta bomb and shield ensure your assault squads are well equiped. I have used the legs for non jp troops to show them running or jumping. Besides tings like that I think the kit is rather straight forward. You get just enough to build what ya want from it.

You can also by jump pack bitz strait from GW, if you want to convert some Tact marines.
