ok so ive been reading from alot of posters that lower AP weapons must be allocated first, but i cant find this in the rulebook anywhere. anyone got a page number for me? been looking in both the shooting phase section and the ranged weapons section and cant seem to find it. thanks for the help in advance!!

If a unit needs to be allocated, at the same time, wounds with different profiles (different APs, some inflict instant death or ignore cover or whatnot and other don't, things like that) the wounds are separated into pools of identical wounds. The pools are resolved one at a time, and the attacker chooses the order in which the pools are resolved.

Does that help?

I like this rule a lot! Soooo cinematic, as a squad tries to use its "best" weapon to take out the Sgt/Champion/Specialist from the enemy squad- love it!
I was hoping to see in the SM faq that the Devestator Sgt signum would pass on his Precision Fire ability to one of his Squad rather than BS5. The Sgt has assessed the threat and directed the Lascannon gunner to take them out- very cool but probably way overpowered!
