View Full Version : Techmarines/priest restoring hull points - 6E?

Reading the FAQ's (IG and BA), it seems that on a 5+ a Techmarine or Techpriest and respair a weapon on restore a hull point lost in battle, which seems to make them pretty useful now.

However, the FAQ for BA says:
"Q: Does a successful Rhino repair attempt restore a Hill Point? (Pg 34).
A: No"

Doesn't that conflict with the previous text in the FAQ? Or am I missing some subtlety with Rhinos and Hull points? (my copy of rules hasn't arrived yet).

Nope. Rhino self repair is limited to Immobilised only. And even then it's the Rhino alone, and not it's variants.

Yeah, the Rhino ability had no clear interaction with hull points - they just wanted to clarify that because they chose to FAQ repair units (Tech Priests/Marines, and Canoptek Spyders with fabricator claws), to be able to do so.

Incidentally I think this makes such repair units much, much better than before, and they may turn out to be quite useful.

Dark Angels could be lulzy, with Techmarines being taken for free with a vehicle.

5 man squad w/ weapons.
Razorback
Techmarine.

Have him roll around in a pimp wagon formation.
