Epidemius and Armour Saves

Epidemius and his Tally of Pestilence. Once Nurgle followers have killed 20+ models, the following effect comes into play. "All attacks from followers of Nurgle ignore armour saves!"

If I have a unit of Plague Marines/Insert Nurgle Unit here, would this mean their shooting attacks ignore armour saves? I feel like it was meant for close combat, but it doesn't specify. I would love to have some T5, 3+ FNP Marines with 2+ Poisoned AP2 close combat weapons and AP2 bolters...

FAQ says that it applies to ranged and close combat attacks, with no "units from Codex: Chaos Daemons" caveat, so yes, your AP2 Plague Marines are legit until proven otherwise.

Awesome, thanks. I guess i missed that when I was going through the FAQ...

It's in black text in the FAQ, which likely means it was a pre-6th ruling. Though it is interesting that they wouldn't revisit that with the advent of allied detachments.
