He may have worn it before, but I just noticed in today's teaser clip that Simon Grant is wearing a T-shirt with the stat line of a Grey Hunter on it. Did GW ever sell those T-shirts before? If not, should we be expecting them in the future? Would they have shirts for other armies? That would be a good idea for the 25th anniversary of 40K.

One of the great mysteries of Games Workshop.

They could sell apparel HAND OVER FOOT on their website, but they refuse to. Then, they refuse to license it out. You're telling me Jinx wouldn't be foaming at the mouth at the opportunity to sell the balls out of 40k apparel?

Hats. T-Shirts. Scarves that say "neckbeard." Booty shorts for Eldargal. Banana hammocks with the picture of a flame template on them. Apparel is an untapped goldmine for them that they refuse to send miners into, despite the fact that the Canary is just whistling dixie down in the shafts.

Didn't they used to sell apparel, back in the 90's? I could swear I owned a Ghazgkhull Thrakka shirt as a teen.

Theres that tshirt with a baneblade on it.

Or the really common one of 4 marines with dice in front of them, and the one who failed his save lying flat

The baneblade was a limited edition release for Apocolypse (yes I have one) and the Failed save shirt was a Games Day shirt one year (yes I have one of those too, even if it is a size too big for me...)

Yes Lexington, GW did used to sell shirts, as well as replica 40k Items (IG dog tags, Crux Terminatur badges, etc) through a sister company (same as FW was at the time) that was called Warp Artifacts. The problem was that the GW stores didn't have room to stock the T-Shirts and the other items were too easy to steal, so GW discontinued them, making for a great games day when they sold off their entire stock at about one third the regular price... shame I was young and didn't have much money back then. I did get a T-shirt with Bolter design on it though.

Since they couldn't sell the stuff in store, GW pulled it. Of course this was before the internet got big. Online sales back then were pathetic. Why they haven't gone back since online sales started to get big is beyond me.

Yeah, that's brilliant. How about a Nurgle baby-bib? Some Slaaneshi lingerie for my wife. I still want that T-shirt with all four chaos symbols on it, that was great but I could never find one.

I had a couple of GW T-Shirts in the 90s. Bravery is stronger than Adamantium etc etc and also Only the Insane have strength enough to prosper blah blah.

I understand these were often knocked off/pirated, so maybe that bears an effect.

or some sort of nurgling babygrows for the spawn of the unfortunate gamers that reproduce...

While I love the idea of slaaneshi lingerie, i can imagine how they'd be received...

Couldn't we just ask Simon?

I have the space marine stat line t-shirt and I got it from Gamesday UK around 2002ish

Personally I would have Phil Kelly's T-Rex fighting a robot shirt....

I'd never wear them.:p I want a circle dress with Eldar runes on it, I'm thinking of making an image myself and sending it to a fabric printing company and making it myself. I mean if GW won't produce t-shirts the chances of them producing 1950s style dresses with Eldar runes on are even less likely.

Ohh there's some nice shirts there. I love the "Keep Calm and Blood for the Blood God" one. Might have to get myself an Imperial Fist one.

You got the link wrong though, should only be one http:// at the start of it. Fixed it below:

You can still get various t-shirts from the shop in Bugman's bar, if you ever happen to be in Nottingham that is!
