Hi all,

Over the weekend we were testing out the Transparent TubeTool from Masq-Mini, designed for making power cables, tentacles and similar conversion parts for your minis. It actually worked really well and so we can't wait to make up a load of cables for our Adeptus Mechanicus army.

The full review & guide is here:

Couple of sample pics:

Anyone else tried this out already? Think of any other good uses for the cables?

Old news is old. GreenStuffIndustries has had one of these out for a long time. and IMO it is a better system. sorry to neg-hammer you. nothing personal.

Well, both tools are pretty similar, so i'm a fan of both, but I only own this one which is why I wrote the review of it. I'm sure there are people out there who will find this info useful. Also, to my knowledge, both tools have slightly different features. The GSI one you mentioned has a rail to keep them straight, while the Masq-Mini one in the review is transparent which makes a huge difference so that you can see how your cables are progressing as you are rolling them.

It looks quite nifty, and makes a nice change from having to use guitar wire which can be difficult to bend in and sag in places.

the masq minis tentacle maker, is great for us non-USA people. as at present greenstuff industries charges the same in delivery as for the product.

in all honestly i see very little diference in the tools despite the differing methods of their use.

i will be getting one of these in a few weeks, as i am always making librarians for some reason LOL

I prefer the GSI one as it's got the L shaped base plate, but that's just me.
