any indication of the content/purpose of the book?
If it's just a catalogue then I'd probably pass on it, as I've got my eldar fliers. Now if it changes the rules for them, I suppose I would give it a shot.
Plus I've already got both of their dogfight game books and airforce, so what would this offer? My german is infinitely worse than my french.

"This new book contains the rules for more than 40 aircraft and air defense units and also a story based cards campaign, in which the noble defenders of the empire against the Legions of Chaos, the arch enemy of mankind, compete. six scenarios that allow players to the desperate struggle for control of the world Kerrack in exciting Warhammer 40,000 battles to witness. I don't have anything from Forgeworld yet but it looks pretty interesting.

Is this going to be massivly different to Aeronautica Imperialis? Just in 40k scale

Hopefully they fix the Vampire Hunter - however I doubt it as they didn't fix it in IA:A2.

For the price of a 40k flier you can get at least 1 airforce for AI, maybe 2, depending on your force.
Otherwise, the brief description makes out to be a campaign book in my eyes, with yet again updated rules for existing models.
Probably pass on this

Doesn't look like a real Imperial Armour. none of the logos you'd expect to see in the lower corners, very unusual title font.
As for the translated text; well, it could be something to do with google translate, but FW/GW don't have an 'empire' in 40k, only the Imperium.
My finaly point against this being real is that the FW team don't get their hands on new rules or models before the release anouncement, so wouldn't have had time to write a book in negative one days, much less make a mock up with rules for 40 aircraft...

considering there is an advert for it in the latest white dwarf which I bought yesterday I would hazard a guess that it is real :D

New picture added to OP, with text! Contains rules for 40 flyers and anti-aircraft guns with a campaign. One assumes it is updating most of FWs aircraft to 6th ed flyer rules.

I guess I take it back!
I hope the Warkoptas are flyers now :P Although that means more money I don't have that I need to spend...

If this is real, I see it as a flop. Table size is too severe a limiting factor for 40k-scale aircraft. The 'speed' aspect of aerial combat is completely lost when the aircraft can only move three times its own length in a turn (any more and they would be off the table whenever the moved toward a long table edge). I have always liked the idea of AI, but larger models really don't make much sense.

Well I'll buy it
Not to play the game, because it will be the 6th ed update for all the FW fliers.
And seeing as I own a lot, thats a good thing

I've not had a problem using Razorwings and Nightwings (thanks FW) in regular game of 40k. Incidentally some of the new missions in the 6th edge book have deployment in the short edges of the same which gives a little more length in which to maneuver.
